MEMORY
This team wanted to transform the obsolete “monobloc” typology of the existing hospital into a much more modern “comb” type, due to its functionality, avoiding the crossings of the internal and external circulations (red and blue) to which this current center was doomed, allowing with the solution provided to solve not only this problem of great importance, but with the new solution it is possible to comply with the NBE-CPI and the New Technical Code.
The commitment to create a hospital complex without architectural barriers, thus facilitating the transit of all people with some type of disability, has not been forgotten when designing it.
The architectural and functional layout has been achieved by articulating the different functions that the building houses around an efficient system of internal and external circulations, which segregates the different traffics, avoiding unwanted crossings, in order to compose a correctly zoned complex that avoids long journeys between “dependent” areas.
